Rank Ledger

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1. Who you're dealing with

Rank Ledger is a product of Stafford Games, the registered business name of Dylan James Stafford, a sole trader in South Australia, Australia (ABN 27 350 562 271).

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean that business. "You" means you, the person using the service.

2. What Rank Ledger is

Rank Ledger is a website that analyses your Deadlock match history. It provides statistics, match summaries, and — on paid plans — AI-generated match reviews and build analysis.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Valve Corporation. Deadlock is Valve's game. Hero names, item names, game imagery and game data belong to Valve. We use publicly available match data via a third-party community API.

3. Using the service

You need an account to use Rank Ledger. You can create one with Google, an email and password, or a magic link.

To see your own match data, you link your Steam account. This is optional — you can browse heroes and items without it.

You must:

  • be at least 13 years old, and if you're under 18, have a parent or guardian's permission to use the service and to pay for anything;
  • provide accurate account information;
  • keep your login details secure;
  • not share, resell, or provide access to your account to others;
  • not use automated tools to scrape, bulk-download, or overload the service;
  • not attempt to circumvent review limits, plan restrictions, or billing.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

4. Paid plans

Plans and pricing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, in Australian dollars, and include GST where applicable. Current prices and inclusions are shown on the site and may change — we'll give notice before a change affects your next renewal.

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI match reviews. Unused reviews roll over up to a maximum of twice your monthly allowance.

Pro+ also includes AI build syntheses, limited to 10 in any rolling 24-hour period. These are counted separately from match reviews and do not roll over.

We may adjust these allowances over time. If we reduce an allowance, we'll notify you before it takes effect and you may cancel.

Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You authorise us to charge your payment method each billing period.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time through the subscription portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, then stops. You keep access to everything until then.

Refunds

We don't provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you keep access until the period ends but aren't refunded for the remaining days.

This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If the service has a major problem — it doesn't do what we said it would, it's substantially unfit for purpose, or it's unavailable for a prolonged period — you're entitled to a refund or other remedy under that law, regardless of what this section says. If something's gone wrong, contact us.

5. AI-generated content

Match reviews, build analysis and build syntheses are generated by an AI model (currently provided by Anthropic). To produce them, the relevant match or build data is sent to that provider for processing.

AI-generated reviews and build syntheses:

  • are automated analysis, not coaching, expert advice, or a guarantee of improvement;
  • may contain errors, omissions, or interpretations you disagree with;
  • should be treated as one input among many, not instruction.

We design the system to state measurements rather than issue verdicts, but we don't warrant that any particular review or synthesis is accurate or useful.

6. Your data and other players' data

Match data in Deadlock covers all twelve players in a game. When you review a match, we store that match's full data — including the other eleven players' in-game performance and public Steam identifiers.

That data is publicly available through Valve's systems and the community API we use. We store it to make reviews work. Stored matches are shared: if another user reviews the same match, they see the same stored data.

How we handle all of this is set out in our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability

We try to keep Rank Ledger running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Rank Ledger depends on third-party services we don't control — Valve's systems, a community-run Deadlock API, Steam, our hosting and database providers, and our AI provider. If any of those change, break, or go away, parts of Rank Ledger may stop working. Match data may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable for reasons outside our control.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you're currently paying for, we'll provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.

8. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.

Subject to that:

  • we provide the service "as is";
  • we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss;
  • where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or resupplying the service, at our option.

9. Intellectual property

We own the Rank Ledger name, site design, written content, and the analysis systems behind it. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them.

Deadlock game content — hero names, item names, artwork, game data — is Valve's property, used here for descriptive and analytical purposes.

Your account data and your match history remain yours. By using the service you allow us to process them to provide it.

10. Ending your access

You can close your account at any time by contacting us.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we stop operating the service. If we close your account without cause and you've paid for a period you haven't used, we'll refund the unused portion.

If you close your account, stored match data may remain in our systems because it's shared with other users who reviewed the same matches. See the Privacy Policy for details.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll notify you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Rank Ledger after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
